David Lee is a historian and the author of three books about Nazi Germany and the Second World War.
His most recent is Hitler's Crime Fighter, a biography of SS investigating judge and Reich police official Konrad Morgen. Despite the atrocities Nazi Germany committed, the state still maintained a legal system and legislation. SS Major Konrad Morgen used the laws in this legal system to bring Nazi Germany’s most heinous murderers, sadists and thieves to justice from inside the SS.
His first book Beachhead Assault, is a history of the Royal Naval Commandos who were the first on to the invasion beaches and the second, Up Close and Personal, describes what it was like to fight on the front line during the war.
He lives in England.
